Robert Harrington, a senior engineer with REE, has had his paper abstract ‘assessing blast impacts on embankment dams’, accepted by ANCOLD for oral presentation. REE have recently been involved in numerous mining projects where blasting activities are occurring adjacent to existing active tailings storage facilities. Rob has undertaken a thorough literature review and provides recommendations to a risk based approach.
