Red Earth Engineering achieves BARS certification for drone flight

Flight Safety Foundation’s Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) Program, working in collaboration with some of the world’s largest mining and resource companies, has developed the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Audit and Registration Program to provide the industry with a more efficient means of monitoring, assessing, and analyzing risks associated with RPAS.

We are excited to announce that the REE team has successfully passed the BARS drone audit, which is considered the benchmark audit for the drone industry. BARS certification is a prerequisite for operating drones at various BARS Member Organizations sites, including BHP, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Newcrest Mining, and South-32. We have obtained the BARS certification and are now fully prepared to fly at these sites if given the opportunity.
