Attila Marta joins Australian Chapter of International Geosythetics Society (IGS)

 

Attila brings his experience of more than 25 years in civil and geotechnical engineering, construction and materials testing in Australia and overseas. Specialising in providing technical leadership in the detailed design, certification and construction oversight of major civil infrastructure projects to the oil and gas, civil infrastructure and mining sectors, he is also a subject matter expert in geosynthetics.

The International Geosythetics Society brings together individual and corporate members from all parts of the world, who are involved in the design, manufacture, sale, use or testing of geotextiles, geomembranes, related products and associated technologies, or who teach or conduct research about such products.

It dedicated to the scientific and engineering development of geotextiles, geomembranes, related products and associated technologies with the objectives of:

– collecting and disseminating knowledge on all matters relevant to geotextiles, geomembranes and related products
– promoting advancement of the state of the art of geotextiles, geomembranes and related products and of their applications, e.g. by encouraging, through its members, the harmonization of test methods, equipment and criteria.
– improving communication and understanding regarding such products, e.g. between designers, manufacturers and users and especially between the textile and civil engineering communities
